MP Ensystems Advisory Pvt. Ltd., established in 2012, is a niche energy and environmental sector consultancy headquartered in Mumbai with presence in multiple states in India. We provide analytical support to policy-making and deployment of sustainability solutions; primarily focusing on energy efficiency, renewable energy, clean transportation, agriculture, water conservation, circularity, clean finance and other related development sector topics. We work with governments, private sector clients, policy making institutions, multilateral development banks, philanthropies, academia, and civil society organizations to design, implement and evaluate solutions that promote sustainability.

We are hiring an Analyst with experience in circularity and decarbonization within the built environment, water and waste sectors. The applicant is expected to work with our team, assist in leading projects and create co-learning opportunities related to the following sectors.

1. Built environment sector

The selected candidate will provide analytical support specifically related to new materials and technologies in the construction industry, design for disassembly, identifying and understanding the material value chains within the sector. The candidate shall work with roadmaps to decarbonization within the building sector with specific emphasis on net zero and circularity and working with building uses such as large and small industries, residential and commercial buildings, institutional and infrastructure buildings at building scale as well as regional scales. The Analyst is expected to develop strong network links with industry, government at the state and central levels, and research organizations including academia.

MP Ensystems works on aspects related to energy efficiency, net zero design, circular economy and regenerative design dealing with technology assessments, programmatic interventions, circular business/revenue models and financing solutions at all levels that can boost growth, cut costs, build resilience, all while preparing for a low carbon future.

The Analysts role would be to carry on extensive research and assist in proposal development, execution of project deliverables, ensure on-time and within budget implementation, support client relationships and work with the team to identify and execute implementation approaches supporting India’s sustainability goals. The candidate should have some experience in dealing with CO2 reduction strategies in the construction supply value chain and embedding circularity.

2. Development of knowledge resources

MP Ensystems has launched PEAK Global (https://peakglobal.live/), an initiative that provides jobreadiness training to students and professionals for careers in sustainability. PEAK Global conducted two training cohorts in 2020-21 that attracted over 1,000 individuals from the student community from India and other emerging economies.

The Analyst’s role would be to assist in the development of course content and training modules and in organizing webinars and learning events in relevant sustainability areas.

3. Other Relevant Sectors

Support in circularity and decarbonization roadmaps in water and solid waste sector related projects. Other areas of support could be related to transportation electrification, built environment, rural value chains and utility-driven clean energy projects. The selected candidate shall also support activities within other regions in the global south.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from reputed institutions in India and elsewhere in Sustainable Architecture, Environment, Material Engineering, Economics or Management

• 3-5 years’ experience working in the building, water and or waste sectors in decarbonization, net zero designs, carbon reduction calculations and systems design for circularity in value chains.

• Candidates with experience of working directly with governments at the state and central levels are preferred

• Demonstrated experiences in deep research projects, including some support in project management and meeting deadlines for project delivery

• Leadership skills to handle end-to-end projects as stated

• Self-starter, showing demonstrated interest in climate action in buildings sector, water and waste sectors.

• Some experience in report writing and an ability to build strong long-term relationships with stakeholders

• Strong skillsets in research and data analysis modeling, report creation and policy analysis

• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Willingness to travel for about 35% of work months or as needed
